A Unique Cross-Country Paragliding Camp for Women
Set against the stunning alpine backdrop of Greifenburg, six passionate women came together to elevate their flying skills and explore the world of XC (cross-country) paragliding.
On Day 1
We arrived at our cozy mountain hut and immediately felt the great energy. Each participant received a welcome goodie bag filled with useful items for the week. We kicked things off with a delicious dinner and a refreshing Aperol spritz, setting the tone for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: Yoga & First Flights
The second day began with an energizing morning yoga session, followed by a magical sunrise flight. The cool morning air and golden light created unforgettable flying conditions.
After our first sled ride flights to get familiar with the gliders and terrain, we launched into a second flying session. While the thermals were light, the fun was high. In the evening, we cooked a big pot of pasta together and held short presentations on important topics like weather analysis, XC route planning, and mental training for female pilots.

Day 3: Sunrise Hike & Fly
We started early with a sunrise hike & fly mission. Though we had to wait out some morning fog, we made the best of the time with a workout at launch. Once the sky cleared, we took off into a peaceful glide.
After a hearty breakfast and some route planning, we headed back up for a proper XC flight. The conditions were ideal – everyone caught thermals, pushed boundaries, and gained their first kilometers in cross-country flying.
The day ended with good food, heartfelt conversations, and laughter – although a planned sunset flight had to be canceled due to an incoming thunderstorm.
Day 4: Reflection & Closing
Our final day started with another grounding yoga session. Unfortunately, flying wasn’t possible due to weather. Instead, we focused on theory sessions, group reflections, and personal feedback rounds.
We wrapped up the week by sharing our experiences and celebrating our progress – both in the air and within ourselves. This was more than just a paragliding camp. It was a journey of sisterhood, self-discovery, and unforgettable moments in nature.
