This was the breathtaking reality of the Paragliding Girls Camp 2022 in Sweden — a week full of adventure, yoga, and connection with like-minded women who share a passion for flying.

Arrival: Community and Nature
We spent the week in a charming countryside house surrounded by blooming fields and open nature. Everyone arrived at different times, but I had prepared a pasta salad to bring us all together. At the nearby dune by the sea, we gathered for a relaxed evening with pasta and beer while the first paragliders soared into the sky. The atmosphere was perfect to make new friends and enjoy the sunset. After a cozy evening indoors, we handed out goodie bags and introduced ourselves.
Day 1: Letting Go
Our first day focused on releasing stress and opening up. We started with a calming yoga session to shake off everyday worries. After a nutritious breakfast, we headed to the beach for ground handling practice. The girls tried different wings and adapted to the new environment. Later, at a second launch site with side winds, we enjoyed tandem flights. The day ended with a vegan dinner prepared together, followed by a breath meditation to set the right mood for the adventures ahead.
Day 2: Sunrise Flights and Trust Exercises
Day two began with a magical sunrise glide and another round of ground handling. We treated ourselves to a late breakfast at a café famous for its delicious cakes before returning to the beach. There, we played a trust game where we guided each other blindfolded — an exciting experience that brought us even closer. As the wind picked up, it was time for kiteboarding. For many, this was new, so we had a thorough introduction covering gear setup and first attempts on the board.

Day 3: Fascia Training and Progress
Our third day started with fascia training on the terrace followed by a weather briefing. Everyone made remarkable progress in ground handling and wing control. After a short café visit to “Olaf & Viktor” for coffee and cake, we returned to the beach. The late afternoon was dedicated to a relaxing yoga session focused on recharging energy.
Day 4: Miniwings and Kite Fun
Day four greeted us with ideal flying conditions. The strong wind allowed us to soar with the Tonics — for many, the first time flying a miniwing, sparking great excitement. After a second breakfast at the harbor, we visited a kite-friendly spot. All the girls braved the cold water, flew their kites, and took their first steps in kiteboarding. The evening ended with a magical flight session into the sunset — truly unforgettable!

Day 5: Meditation and Exploring Ystad
We started day five with a meditation session to help us stay present. After a flight, we explored the beautiful town of Ystad. Its blooming streets and delicious food invited us to linger and enjoy. The day concluded with tacos, a presentation, and a movie night celebrating our new friendships.
Day 6: Trust, Flying, and Relaxation
Our last full day began with a yoga session focusing on trusting ourselves. We were lucky with the weather and flew together again. The afternoon sauna by the sea was the perfect chance to relax after an intense week. To top it all off, we enjoyed a barbecue with gin and tonic, watching a spectacular sunset.
